Photographer Chad Ress, a fellow at the Center for Social Cohesion at Arizona State University, has been traveling the United States to capture people in groups, connected or only seemingly connected. What do all these people coming together in various ways have in common, if anything? What does the look of these &#8220;third places&#8221; tell us about community in America? The photographs that follow are the second installment of previews of Ress’s work. The effort will result in a final exhibition of Ress’ prints. <em>Chad Ress is a photographer based in Los Angeles and a fellow at the Center for Social Cohesion at Arizona State University. His most recent project, America Recovered, was featured in </em>The Wall Street Journal<em> and </em>Time<em>.</em></p>
