While an approximately 200,000 people did not have health insurance in Fresno before Obamacare, the latest figures from Covered California, our state’s healthcare exchange, showed a little over 17,000 people signed up in Fresno, Kings, and Madera counties combined, as of March 17. In advance of the Zócalo/The California Wellness Foundation event “Will Obamacare Fail Fresno?”, we asked local experts: What could have made Obamacare’s rollout more effective in Fresno?
